WELCOME TO FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
First Presbyterian Church has a long and faithful history of serving Jesus Christ in Monroe and in the world. Organized in 1855, FPC has been a faithful member of the Pines Presbytery and the PC (USA) and is one of the older churches in Ouachita Parish. FPC also committed herself to serving the local, national and international community through the education of its members and dedication to Christian mission in the world. FPC’s dedication to education and mission has produced many ordained clergy who currently serve the church in many parts of America.
Today FPC is poised to begin a new level of service to our Lord Jesus Christ. The challenges presented by a constantly changing society and the subsequent changes in morals and ethics can be overwhelming. However, FPC is determined to engage those challenges by designing ministries to meet the needs for the spiritual growth and maturity of her members.
We believe God is at work in the world, calling us to be about the building of His Kingdom in this time and place. As we strive to be more faithful followers of Jesus, we rejoice that you might consider being a part of this work.
